Through the teaching, study, and performance of music, the mission of the MTSU School of Music is to: 

• Foster the development of critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and champions of the arts through meaningful experiences in the classroom, community, and on stage. 

• Cultivate an environment that prioritizes individual expression, creative discovery, well-being, and belonging. 

• Contribute to a better world through purposeful connection with our community.
