School of Music Faculty and Student Handbook

The MTSU School of Music Faculty and Student Handbook is a central resource for students, faculty, and staff as we learn, perform, teach, and work together. Designed to complement the MTSU Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs and university policies, the handbook provides additional guidance specific to the programs, facilities, opportunities, and day-to-day operations of the School of Music

Inside, you will find information about School of Music facilities and academic policies, applied study and juries, recital and performance procedures, accompanying, class piano, instrument and locker use, student resources, funding opportunities, musician health, and more. The handbook also identifies School of Music administrators, staff, coordinators, and other contacts who can help when questions arise.

We encourage every member of the School of Music community to become familiar with the handbook and return to it throughout the academic year.
