Music Admissions

An audition is required for admission into the School of Music as a music major, music minor, or to take private lessons as a non-music major. The audition also determines music scholarship awards, with priority consideration given for auditions completed by February 28, 2026. Students wanting to audition for Fall 2026 admission to the School of Music should follow the steps below. Apply for Undergraduate Admission

Step 1: Apply to MTSU.

Step 2: Complete the School of Music Application. (This includes non-music majors.)
